IZarc is a simple, easy-to-use, free program that will take the place of most every (un)compression software you need. So far, it supports 7-ZIP, A, ACE, ARC, ARJ, B64, BH, BIN, BZ2, BZA, C2D, CAB, CDI, CPIO, DEB, ENC, GCA, GZ, GZA, HA, IMG, ISO, JAR, LHA, LIB, LZH, MDF, MBF, MIM, NRG, PAK, PDI, PK3, RAR, RPM, TAR, TAZ, TBZ, TGZ, TZ, UUE, WAR, XXE, YZ1, Z, ZIP, and ZOO. Akin to WinRAR, this program does a lot of compression formats, but IZarc handles almost all of them out there, and this one's free.

I stumbled across this software one day while searching for a program to unzip a couple of .RAR files I had, since my copy of WinRAR had stopped functioning. Since discovering it, I've replaced WinZip, WinRAR and one other generic compression utility with this one. Obviously, I didn't use the latter one that often, since I can't remember the name of it, WinRAR and WinZip were the main ones I used.

I've been using it for several months now (Aug 2006), and have yet to encounter any errors with the program, although it does have some limitations that I've heard of, not encountered. It doesn't work with non-English filenames, and there's no x64 version of it, since the developer doesn't have the finances to purchase a x64 compiler. He is however, taking donations to purchase a copy of Visual Studio so he can.
