The 1942/3 Disney classic finally gets a new lease on life with this story.

Rather than a sequel, however, this is more a brief "mid-quel" that takes place as Bambi's growing up. And all his friends are back.

Once again, I bring you a review of the movie of the week at Best Buy. This time, it's the "mid-quel" for the Disney Classic, Bambi.

At first, I was leery about this one, as, after all, look at the great successes that Disney's had with Direct-To-Anything sequels...*pin drop*...I see you understand where I'm coming from with this.

It took me a few watching of this movie (in the style of catching pieces of it and assembling it together) to figure out what this movie entails, but once I figured it out, I realised that it was actually a section of the original movie expanded into a 73 minute movie.

They tried their best to "preserve" the look and style of the original movie, and in that I must congratulate them, they kept quite close to the original, and overall, I, personally think that this movie doesn't disappoint. Definately worth a look if you're interested in it, but be sure to act fast before supplies run out.
