This Also Gets A 4.0 From Me.
Okay, whoever wrote the synopsis for this miniseries that's shown on the back of the box (above), never watched the miniseries. It's one of the most misleading synopses I have ever read. The war is not really started by the Scarrans (a half-Scarren maybe), the Peacekeepers do not reassemble Crichton, and he really doesn't do it for one particular race or the other...oh well.
The other minor complaint I have with it is that the DVD version of the miniseries has had some content cut from it, and as such, doesn't flow as well as when it was originally aired as two 2-hour events on the Sci-Fi channel. Which explains the title...the miniseries itself gets a four, but the DVD movie-ized miniseries only gets a 3.5.
It's typical Farscape fare as it applies to acting, CGI, etc. Although, the opening CGI in the water is pretty bad. Oh well. It's Farscape. You love it, or like it, or think it blows.
A word to the wise though, while it does have a narrator-like outline of the tv series, it is by far better to have watched the series before going into the miniseries.
Enjoy it, and if you can, track down a copy of the original airs, it has better flow to it.
